Fort Collins
Local haulers do the work; we hold the contract, own the problems, and send one bill. Fort Collins licenses every hauler inside city limits, construction roll-offs included, and Larimer County moved its disposal sites on August 3, 2026.

Short answer
A Fort Collins job crosses three counters: Engineering for the street, the recycling office for the hauler license, and the county for the tipping site. We hold your sites on one account and answer for all of it. When a pickup gets missed, we contact the hauler the same business day.
Fort Collins changed its disposal picture this year, so ask any hauler where loads are going now and whether that route adds drive time between swaps. Containers in the street need an encroachment permit, and haulers working in city limits need a license, which the city applies to construction roll-offs and junk removal alike. In winter, plan placements that a plow won't bury. In burn-scar areas, ask how the hauler handles flash flood warnings before a container sits in a low spot near a drainage.
One driveway dumpster with a licensed hauler doesn't need us. The hauler, broker, and provider network page shows where we fit, and the Colorado page has state rules.

Figures are counts of completed deliveries, providers, and accounts in this window from our records, as of October 2026. Roll-off deliveries are containers delivered. Portable toilet deliveries are units placed, not orders. A company that completed both services is counted in both service rows, so those rows are not a split of the provider total. The counts are not a promise that every address is covered. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in these counts. The sanitation figure adds portable toilets and hand-wash units placed. Where a restroom-trailer count is shown, it is units placed.
Engineering's permit page says an encroachment permit is required anytime an obstruction is erected in city right-of-way, and it names dumpsters, storage units, and PODS. The application is a site plan, map, or sketch showing the proposed location plus the permit form, emailed to Engineering. The page lists a small application and inspection fee for minor encroachments and a larger application fee for major ones, with no year, so we've left the amounts off this page. It states no time limit.
The city's page says all haulers operating inside Fort Collins city limits must hold an annual hauler license, and it names construction and demolition roll-offs and junk removal. Licensed haulers report twice a year, with one form for the first and second quarters and another for the third and fourth. The recycling office keeps the current list of licensed haulers and answers questions by email or phone.
Larimer County says the county landfill closed on August 3, 2026, and all waste disposal moved to the Central Diversion and Transfer Station at 2388 West Trilby Road. The North Landfill at 15669 North County Road 9 in Wellington opened the same day for commercial haulers and for residents of Wellington and nearby. The old entrance stays open for commercial recycling haulers, household hazardous waste, and electronics recycling. The page doesn't say where construction debris goes, so ask the county before a roll-off is routed.
NWS Boulder keeps an event archive for northern Colorado. Census permit data shows houses and apartments both edging up.
NWS Boulder reports 23.0 inches northwest of Fort Collins, gusts of 49 mph at the Fort Collins/Loveland airport, and drifts of 3 to 7 feet.
NWS Boulder lists flash flooding and debris flows in the Cameron Peak burn area, so check canyon routes after heavy rain.
The county landfill closed. Commercial haulers now use the Trilby Road transfer station or the North Landfill in Wellington.
