Jacksonville
Local haulers do the work; we hold the contract, own the problems, and send one bill. Jacksonville licenses hauling by the kind of waste, so a site clearing out mixed trash and a site hauling off construction debris can need different kinds of haulers.

Short answer
A property manager with an occupied retail center and a gutted tenant space next door can need two kinds of haulers on the same lot. Our account covers both, and we answer for each. When a pickup gets missed, we contact the hauler the same business day. Where the city requires a franchise for a load, the provider we dispatch is one that holds it.
With one address and a clean load, a direct call to a franchised hauler is the simpler route. Where we fit is laid out in hauler, broker, and provider network, and the Florida page covers state rules.
Our record of deliveries to Jacksonville addresses for October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026, with cancellations left out.
Figures are counts of completed deliveries, providers, and accounts in this window from our records, as of October 2026. Roll-off deliveries are containers delivered. Portable toilet deliveries are units placed, not orders. A company that completed both services is counted in both service rows, so those rows are not a split of the provider total. The counts are not a promise that every address is covered. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in these counts. The sanitation figure adds portable toilets and hand-wash units placed. Where a restroom-trailer count is shown, it is units placed.
Jacksonville's solid waste office says the city doesn't provide commercial dumpster service. Its own collection reaches only small commercial accounts, and appliances, tires, and building materials are the customer's to arrange. Everything else turns on the hauler. Under Chapter 380 of the Ordinance Code, nonresidential waste other than construction and demolition debris and recycled materials has to move with a company holding a city franchise. Franchisees pay the city an application fee, an annual registration fee, and 17 percent of monthly gross receipts.
Ask a hauler for its franchise before anything goes in the container that isn't clean construction debris or recycling.
Development Services requires a right-of-way permit to place any construction or other material on or in a city road, right of way, or easement. The city's page doesn't name dumpsters, so ask the Development Services counter whether a container needs one before you assume it doesn't.
The solid waste office is direct: debris from work a contractor performs must be removed by the contractor, and a homeowner with a larger job hires a rubbish removal company for a construction debris container. Carpet, padding, and fencing aren't treated as construction debris, so ask your hauler how it classifies them before a tear-out.
The National Hurricane Center runs the Atlantic season from June 1 to November 30 and puts the peak at September 10. Census permit data shows the apartment pipeline pulling back while houses hold steady.
The NHC runs the Atlantic season on those dates. Move empty containers off exposed lots when a storm is forecast to come close.
The NHC calls this the peak, with most activity from mid-August to mid-October. Expect swap schedules to tighten on coastal sites.
Debris from a contractor's cleanup work is the contractor's to remove, so line up containers before demand spikes.
Jacksonville, FL, January to August 2026 against the same months of 2025. Fewer apartment starts than last year means fewer of the long builds that run several containers at once.
Jacksonville sites can start with dumpster rental, portable toilets, hand-wash stations, or restroom trailers.
