Hawaii
For facilities, procurement, and project managers with sites in Hawaii. We source Hawaii orders from providers based in the islands. Send the island with each address, and we’ll match each site to a provider that serves it.

Local haulers do the work; we hold the contract, own the problems, and send one bill. One agreement can hold roll-off dumpsters, portable toilets, and restroom trailers for every Hawaii site. If you’re weighing us against a single hauler, here’s how a broker, a hauler, and our provider network differ.

At Hawaii job sites, October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026 · Published figure
Figures are counts of completed deliveries, providers, and accounts in this window from our records, as of October 2026. Roll-off deliveries are containers delivered. Portable toilet deliveries are units placed, not orders. A company that completed both services is counted in both service rows, so those rows are not a split of the provider total. The counts are not a promise that every address is covered. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in these counts.
Every provider that delivered at Hawaii sites in this window is based in the state.
State rules
What follows is a buyer’s summary of the Hawaii rules that change the buy. It is not legal advice, so check the current text and the site’s local ordinance before you rely on it.
Hawaii’s solid waste rules, HAR chapter 11-58.1, define construction and demolition waste as largely inert waste from demolishing buildings, roads, and other structures, such as concrete, rock, brick, bituminous concrete, wood, masonry, roofing, steel, plaster, and minor amounts of other metals. It doesn’t include cleanup materials contaminated with hazardous substances, friable asbestos, waste paints, solvents, sealers, or adhesives. Confirm acceptance with the facility before the haul.
Hawaii DOH’s pumper and hauler page says operations hauling wastewater or wastewater sludge must register with the Wastewater Branch, and every registration expires November 15 of each even-numbered year. The registration form lists portable toilet waste as a waste type. Crew counts are on the OSHA portable toilet requirements guide.
Hawaii law, HRS 342G-62, sets a solid waste disposal surcharge of thirty-five cents per ton of solid waste disposed of in the state, paid by whoever does the disposal and passed by the facility to the Department of Health each quarter. That’s a state fee on disposal, not a customer price. More on disposal fees is in the landfill tipping fees guide.
The City and County of Honolulu’s street usage permit page says a permit is required for work on or near a city street that may temporarily obstruct any portion of a roadway or sidewalk. File at least five and no more than thirty days before the work starts, and some requests need a scaled traffic control plan. The other counties set their own rules. A state highway right-of-way is a separate permit.
