What Detritus does in Missouri

Detritus does not own a yard. A provider with trucks in the market delivers the roll-off or services the portable toilet. Detritus quotes the work, keeps the service record, pays the provider, and bills the customer. The same agreement can hold roll-offs, portable toilets, and restroom trailers. How a hauler, a broker, and a managed network differ is the longer comparison. Multi-site facilities is the page for a portfolio that crosses more than one state.

Roll-off containers are on dumpster rental. Portable toilets are on portable toilet rental. Restroom trailers are on restroom trailer rental. A single container in one city is a different request. Dumpster Rental Dogs and Porta Potty Dogs quote that work.

Approved accounts can be offered Net 30, 60 or 90 payment terms. Payment terms are available to approved accounts only and are subject to credit review and approval. Detritus may require a deposit, prepayment or a credit card on file, and may set, change or withdraw terms at its discretion. Terms offered to any customer are set in the written agreement or quote; nothing on this page is an offer of credit. See the terms of use.

The network in Missouri

These figures are work Detritus coordinated, as of October 2026. They are rounded down. Providers in our network that completed at least one roll-off or portable toilet delivery in the past two years, from October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026. The count is companies we work with in that state. It is not a promise that every address in the state is covered. Jobs are deliveries in that same period at sites in the state. Each portable toilet figure is one unit placed, not one order.

These are companies we work with in Missouri, not a promise that every address in the state is covered. Some providers based outside Missouri have delivered inside the state. These figures cover roll-off containers and portable toilets. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in this count. How coverage works across the country is in the coverage whitepaper.

Missouri rules a buyer should know

This is a buyer’s briefing. It is not legal advice, and it is not a compliance certificate. Read the current text, and the ordinance that applies to the site, before you rely on it.

Where construction debris can go

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources construction, renovation, and demolition page says all other construction, renovation, and demolition project waste must be disposed of at a permitted solid waste processing facility or landfill, whether the project is commercial or residential. PUB2045 says regulated construction and demolition waste that is not clean fill, and that is not recovered for reuse or recycling, must go to a permitted solid waste landfill or processing facility. Burying that waste is lawful only in a permitted landfill, and hauling it to other property to dump, burn, or bury is not lawful, even with the landowner’s permission. PUB2374 describes clean fill as uncontaminated soil, rock, sand, gravel, concrete, asphaltic concrete, cinderblock, and brick, with very small amounts of wood and metal, and other inert solids the department approves. Those materials may be used as fill on the site, with the property owner’s permission. The facility’s permit can be narrower than the fact sheet, and a landfill can refuse a waste the fact sheet would allow. Confirm acceptance with the facility before the haul.

Portable sanitation and on-site sewage

The Department of Health and Senior Services compilation of sections 701.025 to 701.059 RSMo includes chemical toilets in the definition of a subsurface soil absorption system. Section 701.031 requires the owner of a building where people live, work, or assemble to provide for sanitary disposal of domestic sewage, either into a sewer system regulated under chapter 644 or into an on-site sewage disposal system. That compilation does not set how many portable toilets a construction crew needs, and it does not state a separate statewide permit for renting a portable toilet. Construction crew counts under the federal standard are on the OSHA portable toilet requirements guide.

A container on a public street

In a third-class city, section 77.520 RSMo lets the council prohibit and prevent encroachments on sidewalks, streets, avenues, alleys, and other public places, and provide for removal of obstructions. A roll-off on a street in a third-class city is that city’s question. Other classes of city are governed by their own statutes. This page does not list city ordinances and does not recite every class. A state highway right-of-way is a separate permit.

Public disposal cost

The department’s construction and demolition pages say where that waste must go. They do not print a statewide gate rate, so this page does not state a Missouri tipping fee. Regional landfill averages from a public study are on the commercial dumpster cost guide. That guide does not assign a region to Missouri, and neither does this page. A gate rate is not a container price. Only a written Detritus quote is binding.

Common questions

Does the Missouri provider count mean every address in the state is covered?

No. 100+ is the rounded count of providers in our network in Missouri, as of October 2026. Providers in our network that completed at least one roll-off or portable toilet delivery in the past two years, from October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026. What was delivered at Missouri sites?

In the two years ending October 26, 2026, jobs at Missouri sites round down to 3,000+. That includes 1,000+ roll-off jobs and 1,000+ portable toilet units placed. No. This page does not publish a Detritus price. It also does not publish a Missouri landfill tipping fee, because the department pages reviewed do not print a statewide gate rate. Only a written Detritus quote is binding.
