Las Vegas
Local haulers do the work; we hold the contract, own the problems, and send one bill. The City of Las Vegas has a franchise agreement that runs through June 2031 and runs solid waste collection through a city franchisee, with exceptions that sit in a code section we could not read online.

Short answer
In the City of Las Vegas the first question on a roll-off job is who is allowed to haul it, and the answer starts with a franchise. We keep your sites on one account and answer for the arrangement behind each one. When a pickup gets missed, we contact the hauler the same business day. Where the city franchise applies to a load, the provider we dispatch is one that holds it.
In Las Vegas, the question to ask before anything else is whether the city franchise covers your load. Inside city limits it usually does, and the exceptions live in the agreement and the city code rather than on a hauler's website, so ask the city when a job sits near the line. Start times matter too, since commercial collection can't begin before the early-morning limit. If demolition will touch a street or sidewalk, the traffic control permit from Public Works has to be in hand before work starts.
A site where the franchise hauler already serves you can stay as it is. The hauler, broker, and provider network page shows where we fit, and the Nevada page has state rules.
Deliveries with a job-site address in Las Vegas during October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026, with canceled jobs left out.
Figures are counts of completed deliveries, providers, and accounts in this window from our records, as of October 2026. Roll-off deliveries are containers delivered. Portable toilet deliveries are units placed, not orders. A company that completed both services is counted in both service rows, so those rows are not a split of the provider total. The counts are not a promise that every address is covered. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in these counts. The sanitation figure adds portable toilets and hand-wash units placed. Where a restroom-trailer count is shown, it is units placed.
Inside the corporate boundaries, the franchise agreement covers collection, transport, and disposal of solid waste, residential recycling, and household hazardous waste drop-off, except where the agreement or Section 9.08.060 of the city code provides otherwise. It stays operative until 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2031 unless amended or ended earlier. The franchisee also carries the roll-off rate schedule, and the city's Franchise Administration page lists rates effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Two amendments, in 2019 and 2023, changed how rate adjustments work and left the term and the franchise grant as they were. We couldn't read Section 9.08.060 online, so which roll-off jobs fall outside the franchise is a question for the city, not for this page.
The city's demolition guideline says demolition work that affects the public right-of-way needs a separate temporary traffic control permit from the Department of Public Works, and a permit for the design and encroachment of any pedestrian protection. Demolition permits also ask for a copy of the air quality permit for dust control, and only a licensed A, A-13, or C-31 contractor can apply for a major one. At final inspection all debris must be removed and the lot cleared and rough graded.
The franchise lets collection start early in summer because of the heat, and NWS Las Vegas describes the monsoon on its climate page. Census permit data shows both houses and apartments falling sharply.
The franchise allows early start times in these months because of excessive daytime heat, and commercial service still may not begin before 4:30 a.m.
NWS Las Vegas says monsoon moisture moves into the Mojave Desert in these months, and by September the monsoon typically wanes.
The heavy rain triggers flash flooding down normally dry washes, and rare high winds bring blowing dust and sand.

Las Vegas customers can book dumpster rental, portable toilets, hand-wash stations, and restroom trailers.

Answers
Does Las Vegas run solid waste hauling through a franchise?
Yes. Solid waste collection inside city limits runs through the city's franchise agreement, with exceptions set by the agreement and Section 9.08.060 of the city code. Where the franchise applies to a load, the provider we dispatch is one that holds it.
How long does the Las Vegas solid waste franchise last?
The agreement is operative until 11:59 p.m. on June 30, 2031, unless it is terminated, amended, or extended earlier.
Does Las Vegas demolition need a traffic permit?
When the work affects the public right-of-way, yes. The city requires a separate temporary traffic control permit from the Department of Public Works, plus a permit for any pedestrian protection that encroaches into the right-of-way.
Can an approved Las Vegas account get payment terms?
Approved accounts can be offered Net 30, 60, or 90, subject to credit review. Nothing on this page is an offer of credit. Terms of use apply to a Las Vegas account.
