Rhode Island
For facilities, procurement, and project managers with sites in Rhode Island. We source Rhode Island orders from providers based in the state and from Massachusetts providers who work across the line.

Local haulers do the work; we hold the contract, own the problems, and send one bill. One agreement can hold roll-off dumpsters, portable toilets, and restroom trailers for every Rhode Island site. If you’re weighing us against a single hauler, here’s how a broker, a hauler, and our provider network differ.

At Rhode Island job sites, October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026 · Published figure
Figures are counts of completed deliveries, providers, and accounts in this window from our records, as of October 2026. Roll-off deliveries are containers delivered. Portable toilet deliveries are units placed, not orders. A company that completed both services is counted in both service rows, so those rows are not a split of the provider total. The counts are not a promise that every address is covered. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in these counts.
Providers based in Massachusetts deliver portable toilets at Rhode Island sites alongside providers based in the state.
State rules
What follows is a buyer’s summary of the Rhode Island rules that change the buy. It is not legal advice, so check the current text and the site’s local ordinance before you rely on it.
Rhode Island law, R.I. Gen. Laws 23-19.4-1, says no one may run a business pumping, cleaning, or transporting septage without a license from the Department of Environmental Management. Crew counts are on the OSHA portable toilet requirements guide.
Providence’s Public Works forms page lists a Temporary Dumpster or Pod Permit, and its Traffic Engineering page says that division reviews all dumpster permits. Other Rhode Island cities set their own rules.
The Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation’s materials acceptance criteria take construction and demolition debris at the Central Landfill from all customers. It’s landfilled and charged as solid waste, but tracked separately. A load with more than ten percent garbage, cardboard, carpet, furniture, appliances, tires, or containers over ten gallons is tracked as solid waste. A load with any asbestos, regulated hazardous waste, fifty-five-gallon drums, or fuel tanks is rejected. Confirm acceptance with the facility before the haul.
