How Houston billing works

Haulers run the routes. We coordinate providers that have completed jobs in Houston and we stay on the account after delivery. Roll-offs, portable toilets, and restroom trailers can share one agreement. Hauler, broker, and managed network is the longer distinction. Landfill classes for the state are on the Texas page. The detail below stays with the City of Houston and the Census metro in the table.

Houston metro deliveries

Houston's rows record deliveries in the Census metro Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands, TX from the job-site ZIP, for the window October 26, 2024 through October 26, 2026. Canceled jobs stay off the list. Construction stops, events, and commercial accounts all show up in those rows.

Figures are counts of completed deliveries, providers, and accounts in this window from our records, as of October 2026. Roll-off deliveries are containers delivered. Portable toilet deliveries are units placed, not orders. A company that completed both services is counted in both service rows, so those rows are not a split of the provider total. The counts are not a promise that every address is covered. Front-load service, compactors, and balers are not in these counts. The sanitation figure adds portable toilets and hand-wash units placed. Where a restroom-trailer count is shown, it is units placed.

The on-site dumpster permit

This section briefs City of Houston pages read October 26, 2026. Confirm the threshold with Solid Waste before you leave a container. Pasadena and The Woodlands are the other names in the Census title. The permit in this section is the City of Houston rule.

A dumpster on the property

Houston Solid Waste's Combustible Waste Storage Permit page says businesses, apartment complexes, strip centers, and other properties need that permit for a dumpster or roll-off that exceeds 50 cubic feet, or for a dumpster of any size that will remain on site more than 60 days. The permit is not transferable between property owners. Applications, payments, and renewals go through the City of Houston Permitting Center. Permits are issued for one to three years. A new permit requires an inspection, and the permit must be kept on site. The department's dumpster permitting desk is at 611 Walker Street, 12th floor. This is the on-site storage permit.

Portable toilets

The combustible-waste permit page covers dumpsters and roll-offs. Crew counts stay on the OSHA portable toilet requirements guide. Chemical-toilet waste hauling is a state registration, summarized on the Texas page.

Environmental service centers are listed at 11500 S. Post Oak Lane and 5614 Neches. Accepted items vary by site.

The Houston-Galveston Area Council's active transfer-station list names the City of Houston as the permit holder for three stations: Sommermeyer Northwest Transfer Station, Houston Southeast Transfer Station Facility, and Houston Southwest Transfer Station Facility. That list is a permit inventory. Call the station before you send the truck.
