Planning guide
Size an event on how many people are on site at the same time, and on how long they stay. The invitation count is not the queue.

A wedding or a single-day gathering does not spread use across a shift the way a construction crew does. People arrive together, and they use the restrooms in the same window. Peak concurrency and the length of that window decide the count, not the number of invitations.
Construction toilets follow the OSHA headcount table on the toilet planning guide. An event is a different problem. Our event placements are quoted as a fixed window. Construction placements are a 28-day rental with a 28-day service cycle, and removal happens when you call.
These are delivered orders, not a formula for your guest list. Use them to see the shape of the answer, then send the real schedule.
| Event | What we knew | What was delivered |
|---|---|---|
| Park event, 45 days | 2,000 people per day | Six to eight stall trailers, weekly servicing, sized on peak concurrency |
| Five-week theatre production | Cast, crew, and audience | 12 standard units, 2 ADA units, 2 portable sinks, cleaned four times a week |
Detritus order records. Headcounts are as reported by the customer. These are delivered configurations, not a recommendation for a specific guest count.
A restroom trailer is the right rental when the space is guest-facing, the event runs more than a few days, or you need flushing fixtures and sinks. The park event above was scoped as stall trailers rather than a field of standard units because 2,000 people a day were on site together.
A trailer needs a level spot a truck can reach, plus water and power. Where those connections are missing, the trailer runs on a fresh-water tank, a waste holding tank, and a generator. That setup is common in parks. Confirm it before the delivery date. The requirements are on the trailer site guide.
A multi-day event needs a pump schedule built around the peak, including an overnight cleaning before the busiest morning. On the theatre production, that was Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Weekly service was enough for the 45-day park event because the trailers, not a single bank of units, were carrying the peak.
A one-day event still needs the units in place before guests arrive, and it needs them pumped if the day is long. It does not need a 28-day construction cycle. Event windows on our quotes are a fixed period. Four days is the default event window: a Friday drop and a Monday collection. A wedding that is only a few hours still occupies the units for the delivery and pickup around that day.
Guest count, hours on site, whether alcohol is served, and whether the location has water and power. We come back with a unit or trailer count and a service time.
Size the wedding on how many guests are there at the same time, and on how many hours they stay, not on the invitation count. We do not publish a guest-count formula, because a four-hour reception and an all-day event are different queues. The closest delivered pattern is a production with cast, crew, and an audience: 12 standard units, 2 ADA units, and 2 sinks. Send the hours and the headcount and we will size that event.
A park event expecting 2,000 people per day for 45 days was scoped as six to eight stall trailers with weekly service, sized on peak concurrency. A festival needs a pump schedule around the busiest morning, not only a delivery on the first day.
When guests will notice the restrooms, when the event runs more than a few days, or when you need flushing fixtures and sinks. Standard units are the faster drop. A trailer needs level ground, truck access, and either water and power or a holding tank and a generator.
An event is quoted as a fixed window. The default event window is four days, which covers a Friday drop and a Monday collection. A construction placement is 28 days with a 28-day service cycle, and removal happens when you call. A wedding that lasts a few hours still includes the delivery and pickup around that day. It is not billed as a 28-day construction cycle.
