Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 22, 2026.
This Privacy Policy explains how Detritus, LLC collects, uses, discloses, and protects information through detritus.us; the Porta Potty Dogs, Dumpster Rental Dogs, Construction Fencing Dogs, Mobile Office Dogs, and Storage Container Dogs websites; the Detritus customer app; our public REST API; and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and related AI-assistant integrations. Each Dogs website also has a brand-specific policy describing its website practices.
Business contact information can identify a person, especially a sole proprietor or DBA, and we treat it as personal information when applicable.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we collect:
- Identifiers and contact information, such as names, business names, email addresses, telephone numbers, billing and mailing addresses, account identifiers, and customer-app sign-in information.
- Service and commercial information, such as service addresses, project details, requested equipment, quotes, orders, delivery and pickup details, service history, support requests, and customer communications.
- Billing and transaction information, such as invoices, payment status, amounts, transaction references, billing contacts, and limited stored-card details such as the last four digits. Detritus does not store full card numbers. Full card details are provided to and held by the payment processor.
- Website, device, and analytics information, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, approximate location inferred from IP address, referring page, date and time, session or visit identifiers, advertising or campaign identifiers, and conversion activity.
- Communications information, including emails, text messages, support requests, call details, and message delivery or response information. Some calls may be recorded and transcribed where recording is enabled and the required notice is provided.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- prepare quotes and arrange delivery, pickup, maintenance, and other requested services;
- manage accounts, customer-app access, orders, billing, and payments;
- send service, support, security, and account communications;
- respond to requests, resolve problems, prevent fraud, and protect our systems;
- measure website use, understand how customers find us, and improve our services;
- comply with law and enforce our agreements; and
- analyze service records and customer communications to categorize the request, product or service involved, and likely service needs for our own operations, support, and service recommendations.
We do not share raw call recordings or transcripts with commercial partners. Publishing this Policy does not by itself authorize a new use of earlier recordings.
3. Operational disclosures
We disclose personal information for business and operational purposes. A recipient receives only the categories reasonably needed for its role; not every recipient receives every category.
- Local equipment and service providers may receive customer contact information, service addresses, project and access details, requested equipment, and relevant order or service history so they can quote, deliver, service, exchange, or remove equipment.
- Payment processors receive payment-card and transaction information needed to authorize and process payments. We retain related billing records, payment status, amounts, transaction references, and limited card details such as the last four digits.
- Communications vendors receive contact details, message content, call data, and delivery or response information needed to provide telephone, call tracking, recording or transcription, email, and text-message services.
- Accounting and billing platforms receive customer, invoice, order, payment, and billing-contact information needed for invoicing, payment links, reconciliation, and financial records.
- Other vendors operating on our behalf may process account, authentication, hosting, security, customer-support, mapping, analytics, and technical data to provide their contracted services.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
We do not currently disclose customer business contact information to selected commercial partners for the partners' own marketing. Vendors operating on our behalf are different from commercial partners that would use information for their own purposes.
4. Text messaging
Mobile phone information is stored securely and it will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
This protection includes SMS opt-in data and consent and applies even when a number is labeled as a business phone. It does not prevent disclosures needed to deliver messages you requested or necessary service communications.
5. Analytics, advertising, cookies, and call tracking
Eligible public pages use a first-party, per-tab session-storage record containing a random visit identifier, visit time, landing page, page journey, external referrer host, and validated campaign identifiers. We use it to understand a visit and connect form submissions with their source. Sensitive quote, signature, and similar routes suppress this website analytics.
When configured, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics help us understand visits, traffic sources, interactions, and conversions. Tags configured in Google Tag Manager may be changed in systems outside this repository. CallRail provides call tracking and dynamic telephone number replacement and can connect calls with pages, referrers, campaign information, and caller details.
These tools may use cookies, browser storage, tags, scripts, visit or session identifiers, IP addresses, device and browser information, page and referrer information, and conversion events. These technologies are not all essential or anonymous. You can limit cookies through your browser and can use browser or device controls that block scripts or advertising identifiers, although some features may not work as expected.
We do not currently offer a repository-verified consent manager that controls every tag. Settings and data-retention choices within Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, CallRail, and other vendor systems are managed outside this repository and require separate verification.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not respond to the legacy Do Not Track (DNT) signal. We have not implemented and verified site-wide Global Privacy Control (GPC) handling that changes all tracking and propagates the preference to customer records. A browser preference on one Dogs website does not automatically carry across the other brand domains. You may still submit a privacy request using the contact information below.
7. Customer app, API, AI assistants, and MCP
The Detritus customer app uses account and authentication information to provide authorized access to contact details, organizations, sites, services, quotes, invoices, payment links, limited stored-card information, transaction history, support requests, and notifications. Authentication providers process sign-in information, and the app uses necessary session, security, and remember-me technologies.
You may request a quote or related service through an AI assistant connected to Detritus through a plugin, custom connector, public REST API, or MCP server. We may receive the contact, delivery, product, timing, and project details you confirm and use them to create a request, prepare a quote, and contact you about the quote and job.
The assistant may receive a customer-facing request identifier, status, quote URL, customer product lines and totals, and notification status. We do not return provider pricing or internal staff details. The AI platform is a separate service with its own privacy terms. Existing-customer tools may use a tracking ID, deal number, email, or phone to locate records.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a portable copy of personal information, to appeal a decision, or to opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, profiling, or sharing. Applicable rights and exceptions vary by state.
To submit a request without creating an account, email info@detritus.us with the subject “Privacy Request.” Include enough information for us to identify the relevant records and the request you are making. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. A partner-marketing preference does not stop necessary service, billing, security, or account communications.
9. Retention, security, and children
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including service, accounting, dispute-resolution, security, and legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.
Our services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this Policy by posting the revised version and changing the effective date.
